As far as indie albums in the 2010's and beyond go, this is one of the most cohesive and emotive albums I've experienced looking back on it and is Jay Som's best album tokyonoir
Like reading the diary of a loved one who passed before their time. Memory for memories I've never had. A further evolution of Anna Burch's style from Quit the Curse, but no less timeless for it. This album shifts away from the more experimental/instrumental styles of Quit the Curse, and in its place more massively emphasizes Anna Burch's divine song-writing. Evan Brown

The Los Angeles shoegaze group strike a balance between propulsive noise and delicately crystalline sounds on their latest. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 13, 2024
It's been like several re-listens and binges of this album since 2020 that I can still come back to and proudly say that this was an album I will personally call one of my favorites of all time.
Wonderfully crafted & ambitious dream pop wearing its 60s influence on its sleeve with sheer delight, Wake UP! has been an album that I have no shame in saying it saved my life. No other album I can say I love can say that did it for me, capturing both the anxieties and joys of life, in spite of it. christiancruz8184
